SPANISH FORT, AL. (WPMI) — This is the time of year where a gesture that may seem so small, goes a long way. For years, the Prodisee Pantry has been distributing meals and groceries during the holiday season to hundreds of families. But the feelings people get as they leave the pantry with a trunk load of food is always the same.

"My husband and I, we live on social security and we try to help my daughter,. She has two adoptive kids so it's very appreciative. I don't want to cry," one woman said.

Although we may not always see it, Executive Director of Prodisee Pantry, Deann Servos said families in Baldwin County are hungry and calls it an invisible issue.

"In the last year and a half, we distributed over 4 million pounds of groceries to over 40,000 family visits," Servos said.
